Synopsis:

Theodora Rudan woke severely injured, covered in blood, and missing ten years of her life. Just to complicate matters further, she was born under a prophecy, one that has rabid followers with three different interpretations, all of whom are willing to sacrifice her in order to fulfill it.

Not knowing if she can trust the stranger she’s betrothed to, the warrior visiting her dreams, or even her own mother, Theo tries to piece together her past only to find that her present is far more dangerous.

It’s the power of her own blood that scares her most of all. This is a responsibility Theo never wanted, and a destiny she cannot deny.

Spirit Binder is a stand alone fantasy novel set a thousand years after spirit (aka magic) rises to take back the world in an apocalyptic event. The young-adult novel Time Walker is set in the same universe, ten years after the events of Spirit Binder.

Spirit Binder on Goodreads

“With magic and spells, blood ties and unknown enemies, Spirit Binder is dark, fun fantasy read that can take you away to another world.” – 4 stars, Headshot Heather, http://doubleshotreviews.com

“This is a fairly fast-paced novel, moving very quickly and endearing the characters to the reader’s heart as it unfolds. I truly enjoyed all the characters  . . . and found the entire premise of this novel to be quite unique and very interesting.” – 4 stars, A Book Vacation, http://bookvacations.wordpress.com

“I love when things are different and fresh . . . you’ll be totally shaken up with all the things this poor girl has to go through . . . and yet again, she’s my hero . . . and then there’s Hugh and Ren! I read this book in one sitting, and no it isn’t short, but it’s so good. I would classify it more on the fantasy side, with a dystopian feel.” – 5 stars, Maghon Thomas, http://magluvsya03.wordpress.com

  1. Hi. I got addicted to your cupcake books and the “I see me” booksfrom the same world. Now I am looking for something else to read by you and was going to pick this up. however, the synopsis says that this is the first in a trilogy and that the next book is coming out in the fall of 2012. It is now 2015 and you don’t seem to have come out with book 2. Has the strategy been abandoned? If so, I don’t want to start reading it because I know from your cupcake books that you don’t write trilogies in a stand-alone fashion. Thanks for letting me know. You can email me the answer that’s great but if not I will check back here to find out what you say.

    1. Hi Kathy! (I’m copy and pasting this from my comment on my web site).

That page definitely needed updating – sorry! Spirit Binder is a stand alone novel. Other novels are planned for the universe, but not with the same narrator. They would be similar to how I See Me connects to the Dowser Series. I have written a first draft of the Seer of the Wastelands. But I was never completely happy with it, so it is currently shelved. My focus is on the Dowser and Oracle Series right now. Time Walker is set ten years later in the same universe as Spirit Binder but it is young adult and features a different narrator. It is also stand alone. I’ll email this to you as well.

I can’t say I’m sorry about your new ‘addiction’ though! Thanks for reading!!

Dowser 4 is on track for it’s Feb 26th release!!
